Priority Mobile: Trouble logging into Priority App on Inventory Scanner

Experiencing troubles logging into the Priority Mobile App on an Inventory scanner or other device? This simple article may help.

Environment

Android OS Inventory Scanner, Android Smartphone 

Resolution

  1. Search for and open the Settings AppUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Select "Apps & notifications"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Select "See all apps"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Scroll down until you see "Priority Mobile"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Select "Storage"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Then select both "CLEAR DATA" and "CLEAR CACHE"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Next, go back one page by clicking on the left arrow on the top right of the page. Then click "UNINSTALL"Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. Now go to the "Play Store" and search for the Priority Mobile application and install it. 
  9. Once the app is installed, open it. When opening it the first time you will see a the screen shown below. Click the "+" Plus symbol and scan the QR Code provided below.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  10. You are done! You should now be able to select the area of Priority that you are working in. It may ask you to sign in again. If this didn't fix your issue, please reach out to the MIS Service Desk for additional assistance. 

Cause

Sometimes Priority updates the app and for some reason the Scanners/phone doesn't catch the update. This can cause app version to system version issues. Clearing the data on the device and reinstalling the App allows the most current version to be installed.
