Issue
Print to Adobe / Print to PDF not working for Adobe Acrobat or other apps.
Environment
Adobe Acrobat. If you use Adobe Acrobat for PDF's and use the Print to Adobe / Print to PDF for Adobe this article will apply to you. If you are using the Microsoft Print to PDF, does not apply to you.
Resolution
- Go to the Printers & Scanners. This can be found by going to the windows Search Bar on the bottom left of your screen and searching for Printers & Scanners.
- Find the Print to Adobe / Print to PDF printer that you are experiencing problems with. Click on it and click "Remove Device".
- Now, go back to Adobe Acrobat, find the Help tab on the top, and click "Repair Installation". This will repair the Adobe Acrobat client and re-install the Print to Adobe/PDF Printer on your computer
- Once done, try to Print to Adobe / PDF again and see if it works. This should resolve the issue.
If this does not solve your issue, try the steps below.
- Go to Printers and Scanners
- Find the Adobe PDF Printer and click on it. Then select "Manage"
- Go to Printer Preferences and uncheck the box that says "Rely on system fonts only, do not use document fonts"
- Done
