Cellphone (Android, iOS): Access your Voicemail from another phone (Verizon, FirstNet, T-Mobile/Sprint)

Issue

You may be unable to get to your Voicemail on your company phone. Perhaps your language is set to a different language and you dont understand how to get in, you left your device in another location, or your phone may be damaged and you are unable to access your Voicemail. There are many other reasons you may not be able to access your voicemail. This simple guide should help you.

Environment

This article applies to cell phones on Verizon, FirstNet, and T-Mobile/Sprint networks.

Resolution

1: Call the phone number of the Voicemail box you are trying to access. and wait to be transferred to the Voicemail.

2: This step varies between carrier; When at the Voicemail greeting:

  • Verizon - As soon as the Voicemail greeting starts, press "#" then enter the Voicemail password. If prompted, re-enter the mobile number.
  • FirstNet, T-Mobile/Sprint - As soon as the Voicemail greeting starts, press "*" (star) then enter the Voicemail password. If prompted, re-enter the mobile number.

3: After entering the password you should be able to access the voicemail per its regular prompts.
