Cellphone (Android): Adding Service Module App

Issue

You received a new phone and need to setup the Service Module app and are not sure how. This guide will walk you through the quick and easy steps on adding it to your Android smart phone. 

Environment

This article applies to Android phones. 

Resolution

  1. Open Chrome
    Launch the Chrome browser on your Android device. (Other browsers may work, but Chrome is recommended for best results.)

  2. Go to the EC Website
    Navigate to the EC website and log in to the Employee Portal.

  3. Access the Work Order Dashboard
    Once inside the portal, follow the prompts to fully log in to the Work Order Dashboard.

  4. Open the Browser Menu
    Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the Chrome browser to open the menu.

  5. Select “Add to Home Screen”
    From the menu, choose “Add to Home Screen.”
    You’ll be given two options:

    • Add a Chrome web link
    • Install the Field Service app
  6. Choose the Field Service App
    Select the Field Service app option for installation.

  7. Launch and Use the App
    Once installed, open the app and begin using it. You can also move the app icon to your home screen for quicker access.
