Printers: How to Connect to an EC Printer

Issue

Need to connect to an Office or Jobsite Printer? Read below to find out how with this simple process.

Environment

- Microsoft File Explorer

- Connected to EC Private Network (in an EC office or Job Trailer) via ethernet or connected to the ECCompany_Private Wi-Fi - If working in EC office or Jobsite

OR

- Connected to Cato VPN - If working remote 

Resolution

1. Open File Explorer
2. In File Explorer's URL bar, type "\\ec-ps2" and hit the Enter key (don't include quotations). This will populate a large list of printers. 
3. The Printer names are abbreviated. If you need assistance identifying the printer you're trying to connect to, reach out to MIS for clarification. To connect to a printer, double click and it will install printer drivers and connect you to the printer.
4. Done! You can now print to the printer you added.
